Moving from Ojai to Sedona

From one beautiful town to the next! Ojai, CA was nestled in a beautiful valley surrounded by undeveloped foothills. We’d lived there 10 years and were ready for a change. “Horse, Heart & Connection” the equine facilitated learning experience I offered in Ojai, was successful and many hearts were moved. My husband and I felt Sedona, had a similar small town feeling and was surrounded by undeveloped red buttes!

Sedona is a tourist town like Ojai, and I felt “Horse, Heart & Connection” would continue to thrive in Sedona, as so many go there to seek spiritual well-being, nature activities and love the vortex feeling in the Sedona red rocks!

It was bittersweet to leave friends, yet exciting to step into the unknown. Driving here from California was certainly an adventure! We traveled with two dogs, two cats, six chickens and our two horses! Driving the trailer was intense, having to focus at higher speeds on a highway and feeling great care and responsibility for these big equines. The chickens were separated into 2 dog crates and three in each crate. We stopped every few hours to let the dogs out and check on the chickens and horses. A normally 8 hour drive took 13 hours! It was successful and all faired very well.

We found a horse property in the Village of Oak Creek in Sedona, with beautiful views of Courthouse and Bell Rock. We are enjoying the majestic scenery and views and look forward to visitors looking for a unique experience with a horse. www.horseheartandconnection.com
